• Must have Five (5) years’ experience in a Backup Administrator or Server Support role
  • Three (3) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in a Backup Administrator or in Server Support role supporting CommVault’s Simpana Backup software
  • Engineering and designing backups and DR in a large scale, multi-site environment of greater than 1 PB of data
  • Experience with VMware Esxi 6.5 and VCenter
  • Experience with daily reporting in CommVault that goes beyond basic reporting
  • Managing and troubleshooting CommVault group firewall permissions
  • Managing and configuring aux copies including deduplication DASH copies in CommVault version 11
  • Rudimentary understanding and troubleshooting of a version 11 Compliance Archive
  • Experience configuring and managing CommVault scheduling using CommVault groups
  • Certified in CommVault software
  • Experience with cloud implementation of backups
  • Monitor and resolve backup issues.
  • Monitor ITSM tool (BMC Remedy) for tickets and requests. Updating backup schedules, monitoring and responding to failed backup instances
  • Work with Legal and Compliance on requests for e-Discovery and executing on legal holds
  • Execute on file restore requests
  • Assist in determining probable cause of issues and work with other support teams to resolve those issues
  • Managing and configuring Client-Side deduplication in CommVault’s Simpana version 11
  • Managing and configuring VSA virtual backups in CommVault’s Simpana version 11
  • Troubleshooting backup/restore issues for Windows file servers, database clusters, and application servers
  • Troubleshooting and configuring backups/restores for O365 and Exchange/Outlook mailboxes
  • Troubleshooting SAN and NAS backup/restore issues
