• 11+ years (Level 3) of experience as a Project Manager in a public sector environment for large (greater than 1000 users) business and I&IT transformation project(s). The project(s) will have been completed, in production and in use.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Portfolio Project Manager
  • Experience working with IT Solutions based on a Cúram platform
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing an approach to project governance in order to assist Cluster Executives by conducting briefings to clients and/or stakeholders as required
  • Experience in meeting with project stakeholders regularly regarding project scope, status, progress and developing positive relationships across the organization and clients by developing a clear understanding of business and project requirements; establish/maintain effective partnerships and relationships with Cluster Executives, Architecture Review Board, etc.
  • Ability to conduct post-mortems on program projects and disseminate conclusions to the rest of the team – as needed.
  • Experience in reviews of Architecture checkpoints including preparation and delivery of presentation materials; and provide leadership and guidance in selecting and applying project management methodologies, tools and best practices to the checkpoint reviews.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information technology in business terms that is easy to comprehend and influence major stakeholders; as well as present multiple options for consideration to Cluster Executive to assess prior to making decisions.
  • Experience in assisting teams and individuals on their interactions with each other to improve communication and ensure alignment. Understand how the teams are currently operating and experimenting with process improvements to improve efficiency and throughput while increasing team engagement and morale.
  • Experience in assessing risk including implementing mitigation strategies, where applicable; and escalating issues as required and ensure that risk/issues are identified; If issues due arise, adhere to relevant escalation processes and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Identify gaps / concerns and develop action plans to close and mitigate issues to ensure governance requirements are met.
  • Experience in producing executive level dashboards for CSSIS initiatives, including Project Governance activities. Provide guidance and advice for dashboards produced by other consultants (if any) and Ministry staff and coordinate the executive level communications, including preparation of summary dashboards, metrics and presentations.
  • Experience with overseeing the finances for the initiative teams including cost estimation, expenditure tracking, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience performing knowledge transfer, mentoring and guidance to designated staff.
  • Desirable: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
